Edit #1: Ok so it is not strep. I realized it didn't hurt my throat to swallow just my tongue hurts when I chew or swallow or talk. So I looked at it and it looks like there is a small sliver cut out of the left side in the spot where it hurts. I'm assuming that spot must be rubbing on the other parts of my mouth when I do these things and causing the pain to worsen. So I'm really hungry but can't eat! At least my husband was a sweetheart and stopped off at Wendy's to get me a frosty. What can I eat that is filling and goes down easily?
Edit #2: Went to urgent care because it got worse. They think it was an allergic reaction. Not sure what to though. So they have me on steroids and I got benadryl and a whole diet now. Thank you all for your ideas.
Try gargling hot salt water and then hydrogen peroxide. Try that over the weekend and see if that helps. Also get some good halls cough drops and chloraseptic spray
Good Luck

Protein powder. This hasn't Gotten any better? I saw the post earlier.
Try eating some soup, something you can just swallow, it's filling :)
