How can people make fun of the misfortune of someone dying from an addiction?  How is that okay?  Some people seriously lack compassion for others.  I hope those people who find it funny to make fun of how drug or alcohol addicted celebrities die, never have to know the feeling of losing someone to an addiction.  My mom died due to her methamphetamine use and believe me it's not funny.

I know how you feel. I have seen/heard so many things, particularly on FB, about how Whitney Houston's death is not sad or shouldnt affect her loved ones because she was an addict. I lost my cousin to complications from drugs 4 years ago when he was 30.. anyone who says I shouldnt be sad or he deserved to die or his life was worthless can bite me.

 I'm truly sorry for your loss.  Just because someone makes bad choices, doesn't mean their life is less worthy.

I agree. Addiction is never funny, and I've seen it do some pretty fucked up things. If it were so easy to "quit" ... I think more people would.

I so agree with you. People who have a addiction has so much hurt inside  and is so overwhelming that they choose to medicate their feelings and feel no way out. These people have  families that love them and need them. They need to be loved and respected not ridiculed. I wish people would see addicts are human just like everyone else. I will have you in my prayers and I am so sorry you had to go thru so much pain.

 Funny how the people who thought the Whitney/Amy Winehouse poster was funny aren't commenting.... hmmmm....  It's a little different when you can put a "real" person behind the death of addiction huh?

I agree!!! She might have had an addiction but she was still someone's mom and daughter. I really feel for those who are addicted to anything. It must be a very difficult way to live.
