I was in line to get checked out and the checker was a young Whitney Houston fan...she was going on and on to the two girls ahead of me about something that just pissed her off about Whitney...I didnt pay any attention, lol...they were actually still chatting for a few minutes after this transaction was completed...finally they took their bags and left . She started ringing my stuff up....and started in on me about Whitney and that "Walmart was selling her cds for only $5!!! What the hell was wrong with them? She has an 18yr old suicidal daughter that needs that money!" She was rattling on about how she was going to post this injustice on Facebook, and poor Bobbi Kristina having to try to make ends meet now, she did not shut up about this the entire time she was ringing me up..when she was done, I swiped my card and beat a hasty path out of there, I didnt even look the total! When I got home and looked at my receipt, she didnt ring up my $30 popcorn popper or my $10 bag of cat food,,,when I go pay for my stuff tomorrow, should I tell the manager WHY it didnt get rung up?

****UPDATE............ok, I never said I wasnt going to pay for the stuff, nor did I ask if I should....I asked if I should tell the manager that his Whitney Houston loving employee was trash talking Walmart because they are not being fair to Bobbi Kristina and was so worked up about it she failed to ring up $40 in merchanise....well.....I called, and was probably a little snippier than I should have been beause I was a tad bit pissed by the ladies here that called me a thief....the manager was not really concerned and told me that if I wanted to come pay that was fine but not to worry about it..when I told her why the girl was not paying attention, she laughed and said, "Oh yeah, she has been doing that for a couple of days...she loves her Whitney!" THAT put me off...so they knew she was bad mouthing her employer for the last few days and now that they know she is allowing merchanise to walk out the door because she is too busy running her mouth, they are just going to laugh? So I thanked her for her time and hung up and called corporaate...they told me to keep the stuff and offered  gift card. I refused it..this company is f*d up...an as for why they didnt check me at the oor....Walmart has done away with door greeters at night...there was a big article on it of HuffPost a few weeks back

I think you should call and explain. They'll likely tell you not to worry about it. It wasn't your mistake!

I wouldn't even bother taking it back. One: it's not your fault. And two: if you came into the store with that story I would think you were crazy!
