PASSIONATE

Are you passionate with your views but also can be compassionate? Can you honestly see the other person's side? By seeing the other side, I don't mean you agree but that you can genuinely see how and why another person may have done something or why they believe as they do. Are there views that you are so strong with, that there is no amount of trying to understand anyone?

I can see the other person's view most of the time, depending on the topic.

For me, I am pro-life but I can also see the other persons view. This doesn't change how I feel but I don't look down on people either.

With religion, I am the same way.

There are things like those who harm kids, that I just can't see the other side.

If the other side make sense, yes. If the other person refuses to open up to others' opinions eventhough the others' make more sense then, that particular person should not have started any argument on the first place.

This. I try to be open minded and understand the logic behind peoples' beliefs. But, I am deadset against cosmetic animal testing. Hate it. It's useless and painful. But, that's a whole other discussion!

Exactly, except I don't have a firm stance on abortion at this point in time. But yeah, there are just some things that I can't even fathom people's excuses.. child abuse definitely being one of them.

Child abuse crosses the line. I have a few others that do as well...

I don't feel that seeing another side to something means that I am less passionate than those who can't. I believe we are all different with our beliefs and ideals.

Exactly. And I don't think that just because you have a belief about something that you have to do every single thing associated with that belief. Like you do one thing that doesn't fall 100% in line with that belief and you're a hyopcrite? Uh, no.. don't think so. You're human.

I have a strong opinion. I am very much against genital cutting but I won't look down on someone for choosing circumcision. I am also opposed to hospital birth for healthy pregnancies and moreso against epidurals.

I can't necessarily see the other side beyond understanding that not everyone will choose what I choose. I do respect choice but that doesn't stop me from being disheartened about the choices people do make. I share my viewpoint and share my knowledge and beyond that there isn't much I can do.
