plain, common names that arent all that common anymore

in a previous post i remember someone commenting on how they wouldnt name their kid something plain and common like jessica, because they didnt want their kid having the same name as 5 other kids in their class, but actually "unique" names are becomming so popular that the "common names arent so common anymore. my kids in our day would have "boring" names but according to the top 100 baby names sarah was 28 and alex was 68. And my and my sisters names (amanda and nicole) which were so common that we were numbers in class because there were so many werent even listed in the top 100. i guess im not really going anywhere with this it was just something interesting i noticed

I just think its funny. My sister wanted to give her daughter a unique name so her daughter wouldn't go through what she did an last year lily was #6 on the list. So much for unique
