Scabies!!

I am so mad at my ex again.

I made a post about how my kids were treated poorly by his girlfriend and one of the things I mentioned is how my kids came back covered in flea bites.  Well, one of my son's bites never healed. I thought he was picking at them.  I got to looking closely again at them last night and I was like, "Omg, those look like scabies."

I took him to the doc this morning and he agreed that they look like scabies to him too.

Also, I had said that one of my older son's that lives up there got this weird rash in his groin area.  He had to go get tested for STD's which all came back negative. Well, his sores never went away either.  So, I had to call my ex and tell him that it is probably scabies too.

The list of why I will never send my boys up there ever again just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

The doc was amazed that no one else in the house has gotten them.

Oh gawd, girl. The kids all need to bath in a special lotion/shampoo. Can get that crap from dogs that have the sores on their skin, even sharing clothes with a person who has them. Can cause severe itching. Hope your dh knows to disinfect his whole house, his pets and tubs etc.

Do they have a dog there, all they gotta do is turn the dog over and look for yellowish puss pockets on its belly. Can make a mixture of 5 gallons water, 1 cup bleach and one cup powder sulfur dip the dog in it and let dry, do not wash off. And this will have to be done for a while until the dog shows no signs of it.

We bought a cocker spaniel puppy once and didn't realize it was sickly, found out soon enough it had sarcoptic mange and is contagious to people.

Had to doctor that puppy for a while before he was well enough to stay inside. That stuff can get on carpet, clothes, bedding etc. Be careful letting your kids go back over to their dads.

I feel for ya, my 3 year old picked it up at daycare. I was so disgusted and livid!! I swear I washed everyone's bedding 2x a day. Thankfully no one else got it.

My boys got them after my dad stayed with us and had them.  The rest of us did not get them and they were farily easy to get rid of.  Better then bed bugs anyway.  :/

My little boys will never be going back up there.  He has too much of a shit lifestyle for them to be around right now.  My kids get scabies and verbally abused by his hooker girlfriend.  No thanks.  Not again. Luckily, he lives 1900 miles away.

Tomorrow is going to be a huge washing and sanitizing day at our house.  :(  That is the only way to make sure we get rid of them and they don't spread.

I don't understand how his body isn't totally covered in them by now. He has had them for 2 months.

They are little microscopic mites that lay eggs that hatch under your skin causing itchy sores.  :(
