i want to add a few more plants around the house, preferably fruit trees and flowers because i like the way they smell. any ideas for highly fragrant flowers that are pretty low maintenance? i have an area next to my house that gets full sun and partial sun in the backyard. also, id like to get flowers that grow into the fence, its chainlink. what should i look for??  thanks in advance!!

eta: all we have now is mums and a random cherry tomato plant that i think was dropped by my kids in the garden by accident when we were planting  mums last year

this was last summer, and the mums come back every year. /\ /\

this is where i want tpo put some fruit trees or something this year. we filled in the holes the dog dug and we took out the wood box in the picture. we had a small vegetable spot in the fence on the left, but the only thing that ended up growing was weeds. :/  that fence in the background is where id like to put flowers growing into. the bushes in the back get small yellow flowers in the summer, i think theyre forcynthia (sp) plants?
