Okay, I'm so confused.  I qualify for insurance through work since I'm (finally) offically full time (been working full time hours since I started)

okay, work offers two different plans.  I can either choose the ppo or hra.  I don't understand insurance whatsoever!

PPO:  annual deductible of 1500 for me and ds.  Copay of $20....labs, xrays, ect I pay 20% after deductible, preventive care $).  Maximum out of pocket $6,000

HRA: deductible 2500, annual gentiva deposit $1000, office visit 20% after deductible....xrays, labs, ect 20% after deductible, preventive care $0, maximum out of pocket $6000

Can anyone explain what ANY of this means?

I'd go with the PPO because it has the lower deductible.

Can you tell me why?  It really doesn't matter.  I'd only be saving $10 a week...I just didn't know which to choose.

Simply put its the amount you pay out of pocket before insurance starts covering expenses. However some insurance plans will cover basic office visits before you pay the deductible.
