I have a 101 yr old lady who resides at my nursing home. She is the sweetest woman I have ever met! Tonight while putting her bed, I asked her, "I bet you have alot of stories you could tell and I bet you have seen alot of stuff." She says, "I would rather forget some of it". I said, "oh, come on now. You should write them down so i can read them".

After her saying I may not be able to read it, and me assuring her that I could, (cause I know once she got started her penmanship would improve), and afte me telling her I could bring her in some good writing paper, she said, "Well, get me a good pen to write with!"

You got it Thelma!

I cant wait to read her stuff!!!!!!

 Awesome!  You're a good woman!

You should get her a nice journal with good paper in it too.

I used to love and hear my great grandpa tell us stories about working in Panama. Also hearing my great grandma tell me stories about growing up, running from Nazis in Europe during WWII.

Aww! That made my heart melt! I love history though the eyes of someone who has actually lived it, If that makes sense?
