i feel like a horrible mother!

My youngest dd, 2yrs old, got on the roof of the play house at my parents house and fell off. (Its about 3.5 ft tall) well i took her to the E.R. thismorning, and come to find out she broke her right collar bone :(. I feel horrible about it.

Kids will be kids! Don't let it bother you! It will be your first if many trips to the ER!

Aww don't beat yourself up,accidents happen,hope she's going to be OK,so far my Kids have both had stitches and had a few accidents and falls and they survived..

meh.  its not that bad.  my best friend had a broken collar bone for a week, lol before anyone thought to x-ray it.

My 2 yo ds is so clumsy... I can totally understand how that can happen.

My (then) three year old did a side flip off of a bed with the intention of landing on his brother.

He missed and ended up with a fractured wrist.


But it didn't happen on my watch, my mom had them! lol

Why feel terrible, Mama?  Did you throw her or push her off?  I'm guessing no.

They call it an accident for a reason. :-)

That you feel horrible about it, makes you a good mother. Accidents happen, and not just for two year olds. If you feel you should have been more vigilant, learn from the incident and then it is a lesson and not just a mistake. Lessons can be life saving!! Again, that you feel horrible about it, makes you a good mother :)

Aww. Poor girl. Hope she feels better soon. Are they doing a sling or anything??

My youngest dd broke her collar bone when she was two. Her sister made her a human sling shot. Crap happens. Move forward.

shes in a makeshift sling until she sees the orthopedic surgeon monday
