What birth control do you recommend?

I was on Jolivette, a mini pill (progesterone only) and I liked it for the most part. Didn't notice many side effects, but then again I had just had my baby so who knows what was what with my crazy hormones at that time. I got off of the pill because it was a bit pricey for me at the time. My Dr. told me about Sprintec but I just read horrible reviews on it. I think I want a pill, not injections or an IUD.

What birth control are you on that you would recommend?

I have Mirena for 2 yrs now. No trouble and no cycles. It makes it hard to lose wight though. And your partner can feel it when you have sex. But I like it.

I would never put any kind of hormone or bc pill into my body. I have in the past and it damn near killed me. Now I use the Paragaurd copper IUD with no hormones in it, and that still sucks! I get a metal taste in my mouth and it pokes me. I havent had a period since having it put in and I am seriously considering having it taken out.

I got the paragaurd and my dh cant feel it. Why did you get the mirena over the paragaurd? You know the paragaurd has no hormones, so it wouldnt be hard for you to lose weight or anything.

I didn't real do much research. I had a pregnancy scare when my baby was only 5 months old and horribly colic. I didn't want another child, so I rushed to get any IUD.
