How much does it cost?

Dh went to buy a loaf of bread this morning and was shocked by the prices (i am not because i am the one who grocery shops) how much does a loaf of bread cost where you live. 2.50 here in eldo kansas and its for wheat bread

Same here. A 'good price' on a loaf of good whole wheat is about $2.50. Some brands are more expensive- $2.99 or $3.49 a loaf. This is in Canadian dollars.

I usually pay around $3 for Oroweat.

Um...I don't actually know because I never pay more than $1 on sale! I think around $2.50ish if not on sale? I'm in MI

It costs: 3 cups of flour, 1 stick of butter, 1tblsp honey, 2 1/2 tsp yeast and 1 egg. 

The eggs and butter come from the barn, the honey comes from the hives and the flour and yeast comes from the store. 

I could break it down into expenses but I've only had one cup of coffee this morning. LOL

I get my bread from our Piggly Wiggly. It's one of the only ones we like and its only $1.

Wheat bread is 4 dollars here :( I live in Miami...the cost of food here is outrageous.
