May go down in cafemom history a one of the dumbest questions, but....

Posted by   + Show Post
How can I keep DDs hair from being lightened from the sun?
I love her beautiful black hair, but being in the sun is changing its color!
Mine is the same, dark brown to medium brown. But that doesn't bother me.
But I just love her hair color so much, lol. I don't want hers to change!

*edit*
The obvious answer is a hat, but what kid would want or keep a hat on while running around and playing? Lol :)

Cool!
I will ask my sister if they have it at the one she works at!

I use a sun screen spray for DD's hair and scalp.  She burns very easy and has the most gorgeous red hair it protects her head and for the most part leaves her hair color normal.  I get it at the salon.

Quoting LilGina:

LOL I am the opposite I hope the sun lightens my daughters hair. She has reddish blond highlights now from the sun or maybe its just you can only see them when they sun shines on it. I would say use a hat.

Its used for people who color their hair but it works on natural color too.  :)
