How did you do it? I need to loose a signifigant amount of wieght. DH has also expressed the desire to loose weight and we want the kids to be healthier (none of them are overweight). So what worked for you, or someone you know? Thanks!

LOL not the way you want to lose weight!

I got Shingles, the meds made me sick:(  I then got horrible anxiety & the anxiety cause me to lose more weight.

Sorry I guess I'm not help:(

Change your eating habits, but remember you don't have to change everything.  Just eat right & allow yourself something yummy at times.

If you haven't worked out in awhile start off small and work your way up.

Don't get discouraged, it won't happen over night.

If you truly want to lose weight & keep it off it is a life style change.

I lost 50lbs last year by not drinking soda and drinking 3 liters of water a day. And doing at least 30 min of cardio a day. Mine was with my xbox.

Honestly, I went from 324 to 188 before I got pregnant. It took a year and a half to do. I cut out all liquids but water. I stopped eating all fried and processed foods. It wasn't easy to do. I learned to park as far from doors as possible to maximize walking. I got the wii fit for weight tracking, and the just dance games for extra cardio. And every month, I looked and felt better. The pounds melted off.

I don't know exactly. I could probably loose 100lbs.

out of curiosity, how much are you trying to lose?

That sucks. One of my biggest problems with loosing weight is that I get discouraged.

That's why most give up, especially women.  We want to see changes right away.

Just remember it takes time, takes time to break habits.

Start small with 2 bad habits.  Like if you drink a lot of soda, choose to break that habit.  It takes about a month to actually break a habit.

Go from there.  Remember life style change, not temporary change.

It will get easier as you go.

Eating healthy, tracking your food, counting calories, drinking LOTS of water, and exercise! I use Weight Watchers online tool to track my food and it's a great program...teaches you to fill up on fruits and veggies and then have proper portions of everything else.  I'm a runner and I run 80-100 miles each month and I also do strength training and other workouts too...that's my exericse:)  Good luck mama!

Since January of this year I have lost 25lbs. Cut out most junk food, eating clean (very little processed food), workout 3-4 days a week, no fast food, no soda. My hubby has lost 35lbs from doing all of the above without working out (he's a construction worker so maybe that has something to do with it). Oh I drink about 100 oz of water on most days.
