Military members are supposed to be safe when they're home. :-(

My STBX's battalion headed out for a field training exercise yesterday.  Their first "big" one since returning from deployment in mid-October.

While on the autobahn(stationed in Germany), the rear vehicle was hit by a semi.  As of right now the current count is one soldier dead, five injured, but at least one of the injured is in really bad shape.

If you could spare some thoughts and prayers for the soldiers of the 15th Engineer Battalion, their families, and the entire Schweinfurt community.......they would be appreciated.

This link is a German news source, but it does have 13 pictures of the accident.  Looking at the pics, I honestly don't see how anyone was able to survive it.

How sad.... I think accidents like this are sometimes even harder than combat injuries/deaths because the families have let their guards down.

God bless these guys. They and there families are all in my prayers.

Prayers

I find that quite common. You hear ALOT of soldiers dying by the hangs of someone else or an accident after coming home
