Can someone please help me solve this fraction? I have an answer but the key says my answer isn't right.

7/8 divided by 2 1/4=?

Sorry I am on mobile and don't have the division symbol lol. Thanks for helping. I will post my answer and answer key answer in a few after a couple of replies.

Haha...I feel like I'm helping DS with his homework. Convert 2 1/4 into a fraction (9/4) and flip it so it's 4/9 and then multiply by 7/8 which equals 7/18. Is that right?

LMAO!!! It's been soooo long since I did this type of math but giving it a try and leaving myself out there to be called stupid.

I'll say 1 1/3

I got 7/18 also, but the book says 1 1/2. I am in college also, this is a packet I have to practice with to prepare for a quiz and there are several problems I am sure I have right, but the book says different. Thanks ladies.

No, you have to flip the 9/4 to 4/9 then multiply.

Keep it change it flip it.

Soo,

7/8 * 1/2 = 7/16

Not sure why everybody is trying to make 2 into 9/4 cause that doesn't even equal 2.
