My MIL was watching ds while I showered. He fell asleep so she wrapped him in a blanket and put him in his crib Afterwards she left with her bf.. Well some time goes by and ds is hungry. I pick him and decide to change his diaper first. Well... I lifted his shirt and his umbilical cord is gone! I've been looking everywhere for it.. And MIL won't answer her phone...
Ah :(

thats what I was afraid of. Your better off taking a pic of it for his baby book. I have had several friends and ladies from work do this and  the all said when they looked back there were worms in it!!! little white worms. gross. If you must put it in his book may be try vacum sealing it so that doesnt happen.

We're gonna put it in his baby book.

I missed my son's falling off too. We went to have our taxes done and left him with my mother for literally an hour, it was the very first time he had been away from me and it fell off, I was so upset at the time. I felt like I missed his very first milestone, lol.

Lol, ds had a string for an unbilical cord because he was a NICU baby and they use the umbilical cord as an IV. Even though I have it saved in a ziplock baggy its still werid to look at.

It's not a pretty thing to look at but it's something special you know?
Eek teeth creep me out :( but wr'll probably save those as well.
Doesn't mean we have to look at them tho :p
