I have dinner guest set to arrive around 7 (in about an hour). I've made lasagna from scratch and now just need to figure out how to prepare the green beans... Suggestions?

You know you want it
1 onion, chopped
4-5 garlic.cloves minced
Toss in pan fry till bacon is crisp
drain all but about 1tb grease
Add 4 cans drained green beans. Salt n.pepper to taste
I use canned green beans (don't have fresh right now) and I drain them and put in big pot, add water about half way, throw in 2 or 3 slices of raw bacon, salt and pepper and some little potatoes.
Boil for half hour and let simmer. Delish !
The water boils out and it has great bacon and flavor and the taters are delish too !
I do 450 for 15-20 mins depending on if you like some burnt edges which we allll do here. I usually use garlic powder because my minced usually burns a bit.

What temp, or should I broil? How long? :)

I like to roast them...olive oil, s&p, and garlic. You have a yummy dinner going on ;)
the #1 recipe for roasted green beans on my fave site says to go with 400degrees but I always do 450.
You are busy cooking so I hope you saw my last reply...I would hate if your green beans burnt up. I go by my oven so 450 works for ME. Eeks...now I'm nervous.
Here is the recipe from my fave site....if you need a reference point.

I steam mine with a little fresh garlic and salt and pepper they always turn out good
I use lots of butter and ham base. The ham base makes them amazing!
