My 13 year old daughter is in Fiddler on the Roof. They start dress rehearsals tomorrow and the play is Thursday and next Sunday.
She was cast as a villager (female) then was asked to also take a part of a Russian (male). No problem....but -
Today they told DD that she needs to put her hair in a bun. She will wear a scarf as a female and a hat as a Russian. Her hair needs to be all tucked up and out of the way.
Here's the problem. DD has LONG, THICK hair. Her hair is down to her butt....28 inches long and is THICK a large hair-tie can only wrap TWICE around it.
Any tips/hints/clues on how to get ALL of that hair up and 'away'!!??
Or, put in best bun possible, cover bun with panty hose band. That should hold in strays. You can bobby pin edges down to her head.
Store bought version is sold in dance store. Called a bun cap.
