It doesn't say anything about someone or something being against us, just that no matter what comes our way, we can take it because we have God on our side. We have that loving support.

I am not just talking out my a**, I'm pagan so I know all about persecution but I don't feel the need to go on about it or anything. People will judge and be nasty but that's ok because I'm secure in.my faith.

The problem is, this has no predictive power. You have no reliable way of determining whether your God is for you on a particular occasion, other than whether someone manages to stop you or not.
If someone does stop you, you just shrug and say "Guess I was wrong and God wasn't for what I was trying to do."
It isn't specific to which God, or to who is against you.

If you don't believe...we'll....it wasn't directed at you. It wasn't saying anything bad about someone not believing. Its just talking about something you can lean on if you do.
