My bf is still married and he was told he cant leave the state till his devorice is finalized. His ex was supposed to sign and turn the dissolution papers like two weeks ago. We just want to start our lives together. She's the one who wanted a devorice in the first place. Can anyone enlighten me on how devorice goes? He said they havent even gone to court she left him the house and all. How long does all this take my mom said 6 months or more. Help I want him up in WA asap he lives in Ohio. If anyone can tell me or help me youd be a God send also who does he call to find out where the dissolution papers are in the court system? The county clerk?

First off it is divorce not devoirce. Most counties have a 60 day waiting period after the papers are filled if no kids are involved. Beige a court date will be set
