I have a friend saying $75/day.
375/week?!
I found a great daycare for him for $457/month.
She insists she's a lot cheaper.
So tell me, what's the going rate usually?
I recommend the good daycare he will prob have more fun there

$75 a DAY to watch a 4yo. Your friend is smoking some good stuff...lol. She's out of her mind.
Quoting HisAngel91:

With two kids I wouldn't even be able to pay 10 an hour....

It depends if you want a babysitter or a Nanny. A Nanny is someone college educated with a lot of professional experience; here they don't work less than $10 an hour. And if you hire a Nanny you probably have higher expectations as far as job duties. If you just want a babysitter your expectations are a bit lower. Babysitting is anywhere from $5-$10 an hr here.
$75 a day is very expensive for just "babysitting" IMO. I would only hire a professional Nanny for that price. When I have babysat I took $30-$40 daily.

Yup school would cost us $457 5 days a week from 9-2
And 7 from 8-9am (a week)
And 15 from 2-4 ( a week)
She wants $1500 *scratches head*
Quoting Kelly_Ann:
And I k.ow a lot of people around here who pay 550 a month for full time care for 1 kid.
What are her credentials? I would never pay that much for a sitter that couldn't provide at least 3 professional references, a clean background check, and had current CPR and First aid training. Those are just the bare minimum requirements as well. Does she have any training in child development? If she doesn't have any of these things I would tell her to get over herself! LOL
