Do you hate when people mispronounce your kids names? Edit
My sons name is Leland sounds like Lee-lin. So stop emphasizing the d. It's not Lee-land. It's so annoying.
Edit. It's the strong emphasis on the d that annoys me or when they say Le-Land. Most people say it right but some don't no matter how much I correct them. Watch the video. A few seconds in dog says Leland's name. Notice no heavy emphasis on the d. That's how my sons name is pronounced.
My DD name is Lily. I swear people are nuts with it. I actually had a nurse argue with me at her dr office over the phone that her name was short for something.

You'd think no one would ever misprounounce my kids names:
forrest
lauren
lily
robert
But they do. Can you guess which one?
Lily, never fails that someone wants to call her lillian, or lillith. Lol! Oh well!

My sons name is Brice just Brice and everyone calls him bryson it drives me nuts. One of his daycare teachers wrote it on his paper for practice writing. When I said hey his name is Brice she said ya but we want him to be able to write his full name for school. I said great HIS NAME IS BRICE NOT BRYSON ITS NOT AN ABBREVIATION HIS NAME ON HIS BIRTH CERTIFICATE IS BRICE
My oldest had people calling him Jonathon all the time. His name is John. They would also spell it Jon instead of John. He is 20 now and still gets it spelled wrong on stuff. I use to correct people all the time when they called him Jonathon by s"aying "JOHN is goind great" or "John answer the nice lady" If they people we knew they eventually get the picture and call him John.
He was born in the days of the Jonathons and not just the Johns. He got a strong old family name.
Oh and my DS is Hayden. I get people calling him Aiden a lot
In the clip they say the d every time, but no they don't scream it lol.

So you want it to be a light d not like the hard D in and? It's there but not screaming?

Well, with my daughter people spell it wrong generally. Her name is Arwen. They don't generally have a hard time pronouncing it. However, my son they have a hard time pronouncing Lachlan (Lock-lan). It doesn't really bother me. We enjoy rare names. It was actually a big pool in my family them trying to figure out how to pronounce Lachlan's name lol. (Hubby is military so they only saw the name posted on fb or in emails...)
