Nice things to do for your housekeeper

I own a cleaning business and these are just a few nice things I would love if they were done

1.   Try to flush the toilets before she comes, especially if someone had a stomach bug.

2.  If you shave a porcupine ( or whatever it was) in the bath tub it would be nice if you rinsed it out.

3.  If you had a wild party it would be nice if you pick up the condoms everywhere.

4.  When moving out from a place it would be nice if you took your porn with you so that when the housekeepers teenage daughter comes with her to help she doesn't see those.

5.  Dont look down on her, or think that she is your personal butler without a life and never think she is uneducated and living on welfare and please dont refer that to that every time you talk to her because sometimes ( like in my case) she makes more than you.

These are not serious complaints because I know this comes with the job and I love my job but it would be nice if people would do these things lol.

I dont think some people are reading this all the way through.  I said these were not serious complaints they are mostly just venting and if you want to be nice to your housekeeper than it would be helpful ( though never mandatory) if these things were done.   I love all of my customers and will bend over backwards for them it would just be nice if they were considerate.     Cleaning up semen and being verbally berated because someone thinks I am beneath them are not my job the rest are not things that really bother me it would just be nice if some people were more hygenic.

I am teaching that to my son. We have housecleaners come once a week and he started making more messes than usual with his toys and what not. When I told him to pick it up he said but the cleaning will people will do it. I told him No, the cleaning people come to clean the dirt in the house NOT pick up after us. He is four so I get how it was confusing.

I'll do everything except the porn...

Legally I don't think Minors are even allowed to come...

She's 16 and works with me, she is allowed to come and she is on my insurance as an employee it would just be nice if there wasnt porn.  I think people are reading this wrong or I wrote it wrong, I clean it all up no problem, I just said it would be nice if they did these things thats all.

You're right about it though... People get a maid to help them keep things clean, not be a pig and have someone clean up after them....

So, I should clean the toilets and tub?   Why do I have a housekeeper?

That's completely understandable.
When my family/extended family hires housekeepers, we usually request that no minors accompany them. If it isn't something they can abide by, we understand, we just go with a different person/company.

With all of the guns/knives/porn/sex toys etc, we just prefer that it is adults.

I do think it is awesome that your daughter gets to work with you. It creates great memories, I am sure!

Should I put the porn away, yes. If it happens to be out, though, I expect a housekeeper to just put it away. I don't expect the housekeeper to bring her minor child, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Do people really not rinse out the tub or club the toilet? I'm sorry!

My mil is amazing to her housekeepers, never looks down on them, and treats them amazingly well on their birthdays and Christmas. It is a hard job. I wouldn't be able to do it.

It was a vacant house that the renters had moved out of, my daughter is an employee of mine she is 16 and is in every way legal to work for me.  I am a business and she has workers comp and I have a payroll person.  Iactually have 2 employees she just helps me on the weekends.

But if that's what I'm paying them for....

If I pay someone to paint my bedroom, I don't go in there and cut in first.

If I'm paying a landscaper, I don't go rake first.

If I'm paying someone to clean my pool, I don't go skim it.

People think that just because they have a housekeeper they don't have to clean up the small things. It's riddiculous how inconciderate some people really are in this world...

We have a woman that cleans for us occasionally. I always feel the need to clean before she gets here. It drives DH nuts! I have nothing but respect for her. She runs her own business, she makes good money, she goes on several vacations a year and she's a sweetheart. I'm sorry you have to deal with such disgusting people.

Exactly your paying them to clean. So if you clean your self they should get paid less because you helped them do their job. People deep clean your house then tidy up and clean as you go then you don't have to pay someone.

I was a supervisor of housekeeping at a place for over a year. Flushed toilets would be lovely!

I'd do the same. I'd want the housekeeper to focus more on deep cleaning rather than things I can quickly and easily do myself.

no thats not what I said at all.  I said flush the toilets and rinse the porcupine out of the tub( if there is no porcupine than no need to rinse).  That in no way is cleaning them.
