Nice things to do for your housekeeper

I own a cleaning business and these are just a few nice things I would love if they were done

1.   Try to flush the toilets before she comes, especially if someone had a stomach bug.

2.  If you shave a porcupine ( or whatever it was) in the bath tub it would be nice if you rinsed it out.

3.  If you had a wild party it would be nice if you pick up the condoms everywhere.

4.  When moving out from a place it would be nice if you took your porn with you so that when the housekeepers teenage daughter comes with her to help she doesn't see those.

5.  Dont look down on her, or think that she is your personal butler without a life and never think she is uneducated and living on welfare and please dont refer that to that every time you talk to her because sometimes ( like in my case) she makes more than you.

These are not serious complaints because I know this comes with the job and I love my job but it would be nice if people would do these things lol.

I dont think some people are reading this all the way through.  I said these were not serious complaints they are mostly just venting and if you want to be nice to your housekeeper than it would be helpful ( though never mandatory) if these things were done.   I love all of my customers and will bend over backwards for them it would just be nice if they were considerate.     Cleaning up semen and being verbally berated because someone thinks I am beneath them are not my job the rest are not things that really bother me it would just be nice if some people were more hygenic.

That's completely understandable.
When my family/extended family hires housekeepers, we usually request that no minors accompany them. If it isn't something they can abide by, we understand, we just go with a different person/company.

With all of the guns/knives/porn/sex toys etc, we just prefer that it is adults.

I do think it is awesome that your daughter gets to work with you. It creates great memories, I am sure!

Should I put the porn away, yes. If it happens to be out, though, I expect a housekeeper to just put it away. I don't expect the housekeeper to bring her minor child, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Do people really not rinse out the tub or club the toilet? I'm sorry!

My mil is amazing to her housekeepers, never looks down on them, and treats them amazingly well on their birthdays and Christmas. It is a hard job. I wouldn't be able to do it.

It was a vacant house that the renters had moved out of, my daughter is an employee of mine she is 16 and is in every way legal to work for me.  I am a business and she has workers comp and I have a payroll person.  Iactually have 2 employees she just helps me on the weekends.

I understand that completely, My DD never actually comes to home with people living in them she helps me with vacancies on the weekends so usually things like that are avoided but it would be nice if people moving would take their porn with them.

My house keeps came last week, and I had the cleaning itch so I was helping her clean. I showed her some places she missed but said it doesn't need to be a weekly thing just try to get to it at least once a month.

I also always have coffee and muffins for her. She's been with us for 6 years and has yet to raise her price!!!!

So you don't flush? Gross.

Quoting ILive4This:

But if that's what I'm paying them for....

If I pay someone to paint my bedroom, I don't go in there and cut in first.

If I'm paying a landscaper, I don't go rake first.

If I'm paying someone to clean my pool, I don't go skim it.

Quoting nverheyn2011:

People think that just because they have a housekeeper they don't have to clean up the small things. It's riddiculous how inconciderate some people really are in this world...

Flush?  I just shit on the floor.

Smh...I didn't say we don't flush....I just don't get the housekeeper being put out by having to clean.   Doesn't seem right to have to do prep work when you're bringing in a worker....hence, my comparisons.

I hardly think flushing a toilet is prep work, but apparently to some it is. Or throwing your rubbish in a trash receptacle.  Good to know!

But then again, if it wasn't for people that didn't , we wouldn't have shows like Hoarders and what not. SWEET! Keep on keeping on folks, everyone likes a good show.

"Hey honey, are you done with that dirty diaper? Just leave it on the floor or on the table ~ the cleaning lady will be here in five days and we hate to do prep work. Remember, we are paying for a service." Ahahahahha!

lmao, yes I wish they would warn us.  Also, if you have a dog that does not like strangers coming into the house when you are not there, please try and put the dog up.  lol

Exactly your paying them to clean. So if you clean your self they should get paid less because you helped them do their job. People deep clean your house then tidy up and clean as you go then you don't have to pay someone.

I charge hourly so if someone is helping me clean they do pay less lol.   I do not want people cleaning before I go, just would like people to flush their poo down the drain thats all, if they dont I will do it no problem but it would just be nice.

I think you are confusing cleaning with flushing and rinsing... you do know how to flush a toilet, no? and rinsing the tub requires you to turn on the water for all of five seconds, it usually happens automatically when you take a shower anyway..

Quoting ILive4This:

So, I should clean the toilets and tub?   Why do I have a housekeeper?
