Is this unfair and cruel?

My mom said what i did was wrong and it made my youngest boy feel bad....

I taught my oldest to ride a bike at 5..I have been trying to teach my almost 9 year old to ride a bike since he was 5, but he is scared and does not want to learn....

My youngest is 5 and I took her training wheels off and she learned to ride her bike last weekend...

I was telling my mom this and she told me I shouldn't have done that because it will make her brother feel bad because she learned before he did and that was cruel...I told my mom that it wasn't fair to make DD wait because her brother refuses to learn and I am kind of hoping now that he see's his sister he will want to try again and learn this summer.

She hung up on me...lol

That isn't cruel as long as you're supportive of your son.

My son will be 11 in a few weeks and he still can't ride a bike with or without training wheels. He is scared and really has no desire to ride. He has never felt bad that other kids know how and he doesn't.

I am still supporting and him still trying to teach him and get him over being afraid to learn. I have been trying for almost 4 years and hope when he is ready he will learn.
