Should I expect this, or...?

My now 5 yo ds has destroyed at least 5 pairs of pants this year, one yesterday.

I buy his pants (jeans mostly) and clothes at gymboree, childrens place, target, and baby gap... Occasionally osh gosh.

Is there a better quality store I should shop at or is clothing destruction just something that will occur?

The jeans that have met their demise are mostly gymboree and baby gap.

Gymboree clothes Don't hardly hold up at all.

Gap is usually good. Old navy jeans are good. Their other clothes suck. Children's place is usually ok.

go the thrift store, you can usually find name brand jeans there for $2-3, then you wont get pissed when he blows thru them...sounds like your little guy is a rough rider, lol

Buy cheaper jeans.  If you insiston name brands, shop at Goodwill.  Then consider them "consumable" and don't get upset when they get ruined.

If your kid is hard on the knees, put iron on patches on the insides when you get them.

Basically, it comes with the territory with boys.

It's a boy thing, my 7 and 11 year old still get holes in the knees of their jeans.

When I was little" tough skin" jeans from sears had reenforced knees. My brother and I wore those for a long time as children.

I forgot about old navy. I do buy him jeans there. They hold up well, usually :)

Did I say something that sounded upset? I'm trying to find a solution but he's never in trouble for ripped jeans.
