Potty training a boy question

My son is in the final stages of potty training, and in the last few days he's been wanting to stand up to pee like his friends do at school. I'm all for it, but he constantly peeing on the floor, not on purpose but there's really nothing there to grab and aim yet lol. Anyone else go through this? What can I do to make it easier for him to hit the potty?

I heard a cheerio in the toilet and have him aim for it works, good luck and let me know how that goes, my son is two and is semi potty trained but he's still sitting

1 mom liked this
Fruit loops work better, easier to see. I also teach my son to wipe off the rim and anything he spills to the floor. They try harder when they have to clean it up.

Thanks ladies, I originally trained him sitting down and that has worked well, but he sees his friends at school standing up so now he wants to do it. I'll try the Cheerios scenario

Daddy is in Afghanistan, so he's got only me teaching him and I have yet to master standing while I pee....LOL

My hubbie is at home but I'm still the one that taught DS to stand. Don't have to be able to do it to teach it. We are mommies, we can teach anything.
