I've managed to filter out baby goat bleats so i don't go screaching out into the desert looking for lost children crying. Good lord. The first time that happened, I thought my heart was going to stop.

I bet there's something hitting the fence. Maybe a low hanging limb, or something like a leash that the kiddos might have put on there.
I've noticed at night, sounds travel farther and clearer. So it probably sounds louder at night. Still creepy as hell tho!

LOL OH GOOD GOD, yeah. I had an owl scream in my freaking ear when we were camping in Texas.... I thought I was going to shit myself. I think I was like 8? lol I still get a mild panic attack remembering that.... eeeeekkkk! I remember I froze and crouched down on the ground and peeked up, scared to move, to scared to NOT look.... stupid owl was sitting on a beam to a light.... ugh
