You can easily make it without the seafood.

Nothing gets crispy in the crock pot lol.

Quoting boshs1andonly:

It was on sale, buy one get one free so i thought i would be able to do a lot with them. i actually used my slow cooker, dd wasn't cooperating today so I didn't want to have to worry about it. But I will definitely try it in the oven next time, thanks!

Quoting AMCMSM:

I bake a whole chicken every week for salads and sandwiches throughout the week. I always use a heavy hand on the seasoning. I like season salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder inside the chicken to. Cover tightly with foil and bake. Take the foil off the last 15 -20 minutes to crisp up the skin.

Quoting boshs1andonly:

well for one thing the skin turned out soggy, not sure why i expected it to be crispy, i just really haven't cooked whole chicken before. and i added the spices that the recipe called for, but i couldn't really taste anything. it's okay though, i put a lot of gravy on it, problem solved lol

Quoting stockuponlove:

Lol nothing ever does the first time. What happened?!

Quoting boshs1andonly:

Looks good! I tried to make a whole chicken for the first time today, it didn't turn out quite as expected though...

Yeah I know, I didn't really think that through. It was kind of a last minute thing, I saw it on sale and bought it, then decided to use the crock pot instead of sticking it in the oven because dd wasn't cooperating. Thats okay, it was buy one get one free so I'll try something different with the next one lol
