Bs. If that were the case then why do black women sit for hours having the shit sewn in and twisted up and braided and kinked and crimped and curled into the most ridiculous styles? Dont get me wrong some of them are pretty cool looking but it's certainly not "long and straight".

I love natural hair on all women.

because society says only straight long hair is pretty.

I have also.heard amazing things about mixed chicks hair products.

I will definitely check them.out if i have a girl.

Quoting nerdymom28:

My daughter is mixed, she has curly hair but it's not real tight curls. And it's course, but not as course as her father's. She's somewhere in the middle. Her hair is not that hard to take care of. I use products from www.curls.biz and they work GREAT. I would recommend them to anyone. Those products are made specifically for children of African American or mixed race. It's a 4 step process, it does take time and patience, but it's worth it for her to have healthy, natural hair. My daughter is constantly complemented on the beauty of her hair.

Quoting happymommy1105:

Hold.on I will get you a link to their website.

While i am.white, my child will be half black and I believe that part of being a good mom is learning how to properly care for your child.

If this baby is a girl, I am going to have her hair "sister locked" as soon as she is old enough. I think its pretty and easier to manage. Plus its not chemicals to damage their hair. It's just their natural hair.

What's that?

I think it's rude to ask if it's your real hair but it's really pretty so I can see why people would ask!

Quoting Ideal_Lady:

I was pregnant in this pic

.

My hair is not long yet I still get asked if it's my real hair...it gets annoying. If I rock a fake hair, the same question will be there..so why not...

From.my understanding (and I could be wrong).....
Am.extension.is used when a person has good hair...and just wants it longer.

A weave is completely fake head of hair woven into the braids of your natural hair.

Quoting ccnstanczak:

whats the difference between an extension and a weave? i honastly dont even know?

IDK maybe they're the same, but why do either?

Wrong,I can't believe some of this stupid stuff i'm reading and why are people interested in stuff like this

Because when I see a black woman with natural hair, I think it's absolutely beautiful and I just want to run up to her and tell her that... but I don't want to be a creeper so I keep it to myself... but posted on CM.

P.S. Don't call people stupid when you don't know how to spell "wear" properly.

typo, stupid i got that right, let's just worry about our own hair

Yes, because "wear" and "where" are so easy to mistake on the keyboard. It wasn't a typo it was a grammatical error, but either way I'm not the one left looking stupid. Good day. ;)

Yes. I would rather have correct information than wrong.

Because we are talking and asking questions to learn to gain knowledge and to understand, because that's how we grow as people and a society.

This is how we change the world, through the honest and non judgemental exchange of information.

I said I could be wrong.

You don't have to insult people.

You could have given us correct information instead.

Personally, I wear my natural hair. But, I think that you Gould watch Good Hair, like a PP said. Some of it as to do with what society says about nappy hair. Some of it has to do with one's personal preference.

You'd be surprised at what some people have under there. lol
