Quoting kmjmlj:Do you treat your yard for fleas?
Yes we had our house And head sprayed last month but we live in the country so deer and other wild life constantly bring in fleas and ticks. Thank god we don't have a tick problem. Maybe one or two a year between al, of are animals. Also all our cats and both dogs are treated monthly for fleas
Quoting PinkHairMAMA:
That is what is used on animals during oil spills. As long as its one that doesn't have all the lotions and dyes in it you're good. Regular dawn is fine. I used to work in a vet clinic for years and the shelter animals that came in for surgeries were always washed in Dawn because it would cut through the nasty better than anything else.

Using dawn dish soap will make her itch. It's really bad for her skin.

I have for the last 4 years. And have 3 times this week. Followed by maine and tail conditioner so she doesn't itch. Since I have shaved her 2 days ago she is now down to only a 1/4 of what she had?
Tonight I rub it all over her and left it for 5 min. And I think almost all of them are gone
I heard that boiling lemons and then putting the water in a squirt bottle and squirting the dog will help with fleas. Of course, you'll want the water to cool down.

I have never heard that but I will try it tomorrow

I saw it on a pet website awhile back. I haven't tried it but a woman claimed it worked wonders on her dogs, cats and kept the flies off her horses. Apparently the lemons change the acidity in the animal's skin and fleas and ticks aren't attracted to them anymore.
Quoting Tammi4:
No I have heard that from so many of my friends that it works on their dogs. With ruff being flea treated monthly with no help it doesn't surprise me dawn doesn't work on her
Quoting ShannaBee:
Well if it works on ruff I will prob work wonders on other pets. I will let you know
Quoting Tammi4:
No it makes her itch but using a conditioner stops that
