As I picked up my kids today from school a lady walked up to me with a really big box of food. Puzzled I ask what's this for? She it doesn't look like you feed your kids much their too small. My will be 10 year old in august weighs 47 lbs wears a 5t & my 5 year old 33lbs wears a 4t. They've always been small and are completely healthy by their doctors standards. Why assume I don't feed my kids just because they are small.

Damn. Some people have no sense. I was in kids 6 until I was like 12. I also had a hell of a growth spurt. My daughter seems to be taking after me. She is 14 months, and 32 inches tall, and 19 pounds. She eats almost as much as I do. All healthy food. Some kiddo's are just not built to be line backers. And sometimes, some parents overfeed their kids IMO. (my sil's youngest can't even crawl for how big he is.)

Just to show the difference in my kids,

This picture is from 2009.  My youngest son was 6, my oldest son was 14, and my daughter was almost 9.

Quoting Crazy-Steph:

Yep. My 16 year old son s 5'7" now. But he has grown 9 inches over the last year. Lol. He has always been tiny. He and my 11 year old daughter wear the same size bottoms.

Quoting Thelmama:

my 11 year old is 47 and 1/4 inches wears a 7 but is it big on him.  My kids all have a syndrome that makes them small.  He is 44 lbs I think or 45.  5s are too short. so I hear ya...fun size..:o)

Quoting kmjmlj:

47 1/2 inches tiny waist

Quoting FooLynRoo:

Your 10 year old is wearing a 5T sized clothing - and there is no health or growth issues?

How tall is he?

According to the clothing size standard a size 5 in children fits someons 43 inches high

average 10 year old is 51 inches. your 10 year old is only 3 ft 7 inches?

I wouldn't assume the kid doesn't eat but I'd assume there was a medical issue for a 10 year old to be so small

My 4 year old is 40 lbs. My issue with him is that is waist is small but his legs are long. So finding him pants is horrible. We do the adjustable waist ones but he doesn't seem to stay in them long. My 2 year old is like yours. Some of the 18 month fits right every where else but is short. If you go up to the 24 month it is the right length but won't stay on her.

Quoting justinnaimee:

My 5 year old is 35 lbs and wears a 4. My 2 year old is 23 lbs and wears 18 month clothes. They are both solidly average according to their dr.

Quoting SapphireMomma:

Her 5 year old is my 20 month's old size. :/

Quoting BEXi:

my 4yr old is 50lbs, he has to wear size 6 or 7 jeans for the length but his waist is small so the adjustable waist is the best thing ever.  With shorts its different because they don't have to be long and he wears a 3t or 4t but they still need the adjustable waist

Would you have been pissed at me if I had brought up the subject?
I've seen small kids, but that is beyond TINY. My nephew is very small for his age, but in a 3 at almost 5.
My 4 year old wears 6 in shirts, 4/5 in pants. But he is big for his age.
