I have quit a thousand times, but always end up starting up again. I've tried patches, they dont seem to work, and i've read horror stories about Chantix. I have had anxiety/depression issues in the past, so I dont think Chantix is right for me. Cold turkey is HARD, and everytime i quit, I get REALLY emotional and angry. Is there any way to help me quit smoking? If you have, how did you do it?
Quoting angie944:Thank you Ladies, i really appreciate all the responses. I think this time I will just do it without telling anyone. Less pressure. Now I keep thinking, when? When should i stop? I just bought 2 packs yesterday, so I dont know if i should finish those, or just put them away somewhere.
I got pregnant. LOL Sorry momma, wish I could help, but I just quit myself two weeks ago and I'm STILL craving one every time I blink my eyes. Good luck though! My grandma used Chantix after smoking for 50 years and it's the only thing that helped her quit.
I used Chantix, and I quit smoking on July 15, 2010. I smoked for over 30 years when I quit. No issues from the Chantix...
Lol, jk. But that's the only thing helped me quit cold turkey. Nothing else worked for me.
And don't try Chantix if you don't think it's a good idea. My stepmother did and honestly went crazy. She didn't even have a history of depression either...
Yeah, I quit cold turkey when i found out i was expecting my DD. I should have never started back up again. I really want to try for another baby, so maybe i can get two things at once, a baby, and quit smoking! LOL... =) Maybe my hubby will agree to that!
