so today after walking the dog and a 19 month old for two miles, ever since i've had the worlds worst braxton hicks pains!!! no position is comfortable!!! my little belly tightens up so bad that i can feel pain all the way through my back and hips. Even the downstairs area feels like its stretching out!! i'm only 31 weeks, lol i hope my walk didnt send me into preterm labor!

Have you tried drinking a lot of water and laying on your left side for about an hour? If the answer is yes, I would go on on to L&D

Instead of rushing to L&D i would call your doctor office, that is if they have a 24 hour help line or call L&D and ask them

Edit part:

Forgot to ask are they timeable?

Have you tried timing it? Any decrease in fetal movement?

Try timing and see what you get.

Baby movement is good. More than 5 per hour?

Is your belly getting hard all the way to the top?

Try timing them for a half hour ish before you call, because i'm sure they will ask that question the moment you tell them...So try drinking some more water and keep laying down and try timing them... Has the pain been getting worse since they started?
