My MIL says I am being paranoid. DD has been throwing up since 3:30am and hasn't been able to keep anything down, not even water or pedisure and is running a fever. I want to get her checked out just to make sure it is the stomach bug thats been going around (pretty much 3 day flu). She says she is fine and it would be a waste of money. I still have an hour before the office even opens and DD has finally sacked out again.
Update: I got her an appointment at 11am. It was the soonest I could get her in.

Body weight?
How high was her temp?
If she's under two and it goes on for more than 24 hours take her in.
However if she's 3 or older u can wait alike longer.
Even though she's not keeping anything down she was yesterday I assume so she will stay hydrated for awhile.

My kids have had this and they will only send you dd to the ER if she is severely dehydrated. My oldest had the rota virus and I took him the doctor everyweek. Finally after he was lethargic and had sunken eyes they said he was dehydrated and needed to go to the ER. Give her the Brat diet. Bannana, rice, apple sause and toast. She is your first child so I understand. If it were me after 3 kids later. I wouldnt take her to the doctor.
Motron was already given. Not lethargic. Temp 101.8 Climbing even with medicine. Just gave another dose about an hour ago and it has stayed down, which is good. Just gave her some pedisure and that is staying down for now.

is she lethargic? How high is her temp? You can certainly give her some Tylenol or ibuprofen for the fever and it would make her feel better.

Thanks me too. It is so weird for me for her to be quiet.
Quoting WendyJR:
I'd call the pediatrician at the very least and see what they think. Gl! Hope your little one feels better.

how much motrin did you give? did it come down after you gave the motrin? (& how long did you wait before taking it again where it was still up, then how long after the first dose did u give the second dose and then what was it)?
