My husband and I usually do our shopping on Fridays after he gets off work. That gives us Saturday for major chores and no outside errands, and Sunday for church and relaxation. I'm starting to wish we'd waited until tomorrow...
We started out at Target for diapers, formula, and our weekly stop at Starbucks. :) That trip was virtually uneventful, and multiple people walked past talking about how cute our baby was. I even had a nice chat with a lady in the line at Starbucks about teething babies and toddlers. I should have known the night wouldn't end well...
After Target we headed to the dreaded Wal-Mart. Everything was fine until we went to check out. We were in a line behind a heavy-set lady, and her equally heavy friend. (This is rellivant.) The lady directly in front of us put her items on the belt just as we noticed the register IN FRONT of that one was open, and the cashier was waiving us up. Well, the lady in front of us had moved her buggy to where it was completely blocking the way up between that register and the one beside it. I said excuse me twice, and was ignored, so my husband walked in front of our buggy, pulling it behind him, and got right up to her (saying excuse me SIX times) before she moved it.
I thought that maybe she just didn't hear us, but nowhere in my mind did I expect the words she said as we walked past. She said to her friend that my husband and I were "fat-ass bitches", and that she shouldn't have had to move her buggy. Fine, I can handle people talking about me, although her "fat-ass" comment was funny, especially considering the fact that her and her friend were easily twice the size of me and my husband. But then her friend had something to say...
That BITCH said she was sorry for my baby having such ugly asshole parents, and that he was the ugliest baby she had ever seen! It was all I could do not to turn around and do something that would get me tossed out and arrested. It's one thing to insult me and my husband, but another to extend your idiocy to an innocent baby all because you think being polite to others is WRONG! I'm STILL fuming! People like that piss me off. I have to say, it was a good idea not to tell my husband until we got home, though. If he'd heard them...well...I doubt he'd be relaxing at home right now. :/
This is my son, and I don't think he's ugly at all. :(

What bitches........funny they called ya'll fat asses. Don't worry sweety, your baby is adorable. If I was in that situation, I would never tell someone they had an ugly baby. That's just freakin wrong.
people at walmart are freakin idiots most of the time. i had a lady tell me randomly that it was a shame that girls my age are having babies so young and setting them up to be fatherless. smdh i told her i am married and abt to be 26 but later on i started thinking...so what if i was 17! my child and i are both well fed, well clothed and clean...why would my age have to do with my child being 'fatherless'...and on top of that she was in her late 60's at least and chicks back then were getting hitched at 15 year old! grrrrr. i just go in there expecting a rude comment or two now -.-
Yeah, I was smiling at the "fat-ass" comment until she said that about my baby. I'll never understand how people can be so rude. :/

As much as i hate confrontations, I was sorely tempted. And thank you. :)
