I am a stick in the mud when it comes to "fun" foods. I prefer for the kids not to have sugary sweets. I can't remember the last time I actually OK'd them to eat something like a piece of candy. They're fine with that for the most part, but of course most kids do like candy from time to time.

Rachel asked if we could get this HUGE thing of bubble gum for them when we were at the store yesterday. Here, she's going "Hey, how about we get this for the kids?" See the look on the kids faces? They're like OMG you did NOT just ask that?? hahaha

Normally I would have said no but for some weird reason I was like yeah.. sure..

This was their reaction LOL

And yes the 10 year old is almost as tall as she is.. lol.

Yeah I'd much rather my kids drink a cup of honey maple syrup raw sugar vs a tablespoon of imitation sugars!

Quoting LectioDivina:

Yeah, All the time...

lol oddly enough I won't let them have any sugar substitutes though...

I mean, they can have honey or bananas as a sweetener but no aspartame, High Fructose Corn Syrup, splenda...

I see nothing wrong with sugar in moderation. He's a healthy kids who eats mostly nutritious foods. So, yes, I allow some sugar.

I can't live without sugar so I have no problem with it.
