I'm at my parents and I LOVE it here. They live on the beach in my favorite part of northern Callie. DS and I were planning to stay for two weeks, fly back to NYC then fly back to Portland 6 weeks after we got home for a reunion for a week then back to NYC. I was thinking about staying here and just skipping the trip back to NYC. The only issue is we would be without my dh the whole time because he will be back home working.......
So to wrap it up: would it be crazy to stay in Callie for the next 8 weeksish weeks surfing and on the beach with DS while leaving dh in NYC for the summer working? Dh works from home so this would be good for him to have time without us to work like crazy but, I've never been without dh for longer than two weeks.

Plus its hell to try to go back and fourth with the time zone changes :/ this way we wouldn't. And my parents have lots of room and are in love with tjw idea lol.

oh i'd totally do it mama. I've been away fro, dh for longer then 8 weeks it so wouldn't bother me. I'd do it in a heart beat even with ds around... I think it'd be nice for both u and your kid...

Cool. I just feel bad making dh fend for himself for.that long lol! But I realllllllyyyyy can't stand having the insane.city and it would be so nice to be away from it and the heat! Plus my little bro and I plan to go every morning at 6 am and surf while.DS is.sleeping and supervised (obviously) by my parents. It just would be a dream summer....
