How much do you spend on grocery shopping a month? I always see how people spend sooooo much money!! my family probably spends about 250 a month on groceries maybe a little more..We are a family of 4... my kids are ages 4 and almost 2. I cook easy meals but also try to keep it healthy. my grocery trips are usuallly around 100, I go every other week for my main stuff and then I will run to the store in between for things like milk or an extra ingredient for dinner or something.. my last trip was 120 because I also bought diapers, body wash, hair care, and sun screen. so it would have been under 100 for my food.. We cook a few good meals during the week with some left overs, and some days we do somethign quick like a grilled cheese or blt.
We are a family of 5 and I will spend about 500-600 a month. But that includes all our household stuff(i.e. dish soap, laundry stuff, shower stuff, bathroom stuff, etc etc). Plus I have 2 in diapers so any and all baby necessities are included in that budget
we spend about 200-300 hundred a month on the months that it is 300 it is cuz we had to buy diapers
and other non food things
I'm on SS because of my age and since I draw off of my ex, I don't get much. I have $75 a month to spend on food, dry goods etc and dog food. I don't eat fancy.
Since I live in NW Tx where there's a drought, I can't grow a garden, because my well just went out about a week ago and I don't have the money to have it fixed. Now part of my budget has to go for buying water.

Wow, I need some tips from you then. We spend around $300 for 2 adults and an almost 2 year old. I think our big fall back is not being able to use the oven (uses too much gas) and our silly splurges
Like I said I cook very easy meals..I make it healthy with chicken or ground turkey, veggies, and fresh fruit.. I buy snacks in bulk like these cheddar and cheese crackers(theres like 40 in a box so it lasts quite a while), buy fruit cups in bulk, toiletries in bulk.. it all lasts a couple of months.
Guess I need to do a little more shopping at BJs this month. Can you give me some more ideas on what you do for easy meals. SO is getting sick of always doing the same stuff over and over. Thanks
