Police Records Clerk--I have a Criminal Justice degree, which I got while working as a private investigator and then everything changed after 9/11 and business slowed to an almost standstill, so then I worked in the mortgage industry but wanted more job security, so I also applied for the Records position. I now work nights so I can be home with the kids when they are babies.
Well I sacrifice sleep, which I am in the school of thought that "I can sleep when I am dead" so I sleep when my 2 yr old does and then catch a nap once hubby gets home. It is easier for me to run errands and have appointments working nights since most people are at work in the day, the stores are relatively empty and appointments are easier to schedule since I dont miss work.
Quoting owl0210:I'm a Paralegal and work full time. It's much harder juggling everything since my divorce but I manage somehow.
I'm a waitress. I needed a job, it was available. I make sure to make time for my husband and kids, I have a good balance.
I work from home. I produce and host live webcasts for a large software company. I usually work 25-30 hours a week. My schedule is quite flexible and most of my work can be done with DD around. Since I am home with DD I just step away and play or cook lunch/dinner or clean. During live sessions DH will go into work late. I have a friend who is a manager for the company.
