Anything positive happen?? Good fortune? Share something awesome that's happened recently!

My something lucky is: Last week my Mum had a major surgery on her hip. It was a long time coming as she'd been living on a broken hip for a whole year. She was unable to care for herself after the surgery so we gladly took her in. DH rearranged our bedroom to make her comfy. We put a TV up there with some movies, loaded the bedside table with fresh flowers and a nice card and put her in our bed.

She was here for a week (she went home 2 nights ago) and is now here during the day only. So I was cooking all the meals for her, changing her dressing on her incisions, washing her, changing her, helping her to the bathroom whenever she had to go, putting her in bed, distributing meds every 4 hours etc etc. So now she's here during the day. I drive her to appts, still cook for her and do laundry.

So anyways, yesterday we find out that I am actually entitled to be paid for taking care of her! They are going to back pay me for when she got here last week to now for at least level 1 personal care and continue paying me for a couple months for my driving her, cooking, laundry etc. So like over 2 months of level 1 personal care pay. That's really going to come in handy and it was such a nice, lucky surprise!

 I don't believe in ''luck'' but we randomly got $200 from my sister right after our car broke down. It was exactly the amount we needed to fix it.  She didn't know our car was broke.  Three days ago my friend asked me to do some typing for her on a project she was behind on and paid me $17 an hour to do it.  Because of that I was able to buy dh a father's day gift. :)

Two weeks ago my DH won tickets to see LMFAO in concert! We were just expecting general seats (the tickets were from a local cable company). But when we got there they had us in a VIP booth with unlimited refreshments, a personal bathroom, and no one in front of us do we had an unobstructed view. It was amazing. It had been so long since DH and I had gotten to go to a concert (last one was 8 years ago) and we LOVE LMFAO!

My neighbor's parents came to visit and they're very sociable, so now I talk to my neighbor more and we hang out outside and our kids play while we talk. I didn't have any friends in this town and I'm too shy to go up to people, so it's very very helpful and fun for me! I probably talk the poor family's ears off cause I'm so excited to have someone to talk to that doesn't answer with "Pabu?" (lol how my son says puppy)
