It may take me rolling $18 in pennies & $5(oops $10) in dimes...but it's worth it !! (UPDATE)
UPDATE: Well , we got there just fine ( I was worried i would get lost lol)..We started to walk around and check everything out , we walked up to the Family Zone ..and Carly Rae Jepsen was right there signing autographs!! There were a lot of people surrounding her in a crowd. I was able to get DD to the fence ..and slowly got her close to the entrance , hoping to be able to get a autograph and a picture. DD was only the 2nd person in line when they announced that they were no longer doing autographs ..and they started asking people to clear the way , so needless to say DD was very upset ..i don't blame her though.
But i told her that she needed to think positive..because we didnt even know that Carly would be signing autographs ..and we at least got to be about 5 feet away from her ..which is a positive thing! And not many people get to say that.
The rest of the day however , was very disappointing ...DD started acting up ..she kept taking off on me..she did so about 4 time's during the day ..each time i gave her a stern talking too about staying close to me , so i did not lose her amongst all the people ..but my stern talks apparently went unnoticed.
I received attitude the majority of the time we were there..if i asked to go check out a booth or what not ...i received attitude because that is not what SHE wanted to do.
2:30 came around ..so i told her we were going to go by the stage ..and see how close we could get, she wasn't happy about it ..but we did it anyways. And we were able to get pretty close..we could see the stage clearly and the people on the stage clearly. THAN she started with " i dont want to stay here for an hour!! I want to go and do something else " ...i tried to explain to her that if we left the spot we were in , that there may be a chance that we couldn't see the stage later ..she wouldn't listen to me ..told me " we can just zig zag through the people..but i dont want to stay here!!"
Fine ..we left ..walked around , went to the play area...where once again, she asked me if she could do something , i said yes ..and instead of waiting for me to get up and gather our things ..she took off once more....UGHHH
3:30 come's around ..and i finally get her to go back to the stage ...which was pointless , because it was filled for about a half a mile with people, to the point that i couldn't even see the big screens on the side of the stage. And of course , she was whiny ..and growling ( yes growling ) at me about this and that ...
We did not stay to listen to the rest of the concert ..i made her march her butt through the crowd that we were able to get past ..and straight to the mall, and i brought her home.
I told her that i will NOT be taking her to any more festivals ( our city has about 2-3 in the summer) ..nor will i be taking her to places that consist of a large group of people this summer at all.
I am so disappointed in her behaviour and her actions. Oh and just to add ...at the moment, she IS sitting in her room ...

There is a music festival in the next city over from me tomorrow ...where she is playing for free!
The shuttle to the festival from my city , is $3 per person round trip.
I have about twenty dollars (in bills) to spend in spare cash..but i wanted to make sure that i had more than that just incase, so i have been sitting here rolling pennies, dimes and nickels all morning lol. (should have bought two bags of rollers though lol) will be heading to the bank soon to change them into bills.
So in total i have $50 to spend tomorrow.
I have already hit the farmer's market , i picked up some cucumbers, strawberries and lettuce.
Me and DD are going to make the gluten free bread tonight and some popcorn.
In the morning we will get everything prepared , cut up the veggies ..make the sandwiches ..get the frozen water out of the freezer and pack it all up and head out the door.
I did not tell her about my plans until this morning ...
She told me that her friends have been talking about the music festival and that one of her friends IS going ..she wanted to go , but was afraid to ask me thinking that i would tell her we wouldn't have the money to go!
Damnit , i knew i was saving these pennies for the last two years for something! LOL
awww!! thats so sweet. have a great time. my girls and i went on a bike ride last night and was a perfect time with them.
