I am curious what you guys think.  We are trying to get my husband's son in to a doctor while he is here.  My husband's ex has custody and we get him for 4 weeks a year.  Both my husband and I think he looks like he doesn't get fed well.  We do know that they don't eat very healthy at their house.  I am just curious if a doctor would agree with us.  So I am curious if anyone of you have dealt with anything like this or what your thoughts.  If the doctor does say he is not healthy we are going to try and get custody of him.  (There are other reason that we want to get custody of him but this one is major, at least to us.)

Thank you for any insight you will give.

I would take him and see what the Dr says... Good Luck..

Does he eat well when he is with you?

What do you mean he looks like he doesn't get fed well?

When he's at your house, does he eat all the time?

When he is at our house he does eat.  Sometimes I am surprised at how much he eats.  But we do know that he doesn't eat like he does here when he is at home.

I have a kid that is literally skin and bones.  He eats all day long.  In fact, while we're eating breakfast/lunch/dinner he's already thinking about what he wants after he finishes the meal.  He's still skinny and healthy though.

How do you KNOW that he eats differently at home?

Could it be that he doesn't eat much or that he will have a small frame? Have you all asked him or did you just assume he wasn't getting fed? If you feel so strongly about it, take him to the doctor. Why do you all only get him for four weeks, is that what the court ordered? I mean there are 52 weeks in a year, that sucks.

Because we have talked to him about what he eats.  Plus my husband we married to his mom.  She is not one to change.
