Anyone good at ID-ing dog breeds? (rescue puppies, pics inside) NEW PHOTOS

We are rescue/fostering these three pups, have to find them homes. They're about 4wks old . I can "see" different breeds in them, or characteristics of different breeds, but not really certain. Sometimes I look and see boxer, sometimes hunting dog (cur?), sometimes border collie, sometimes terrier.. LOL I'm so indecisive!

Any input?

All of them - you can see back/side markings a little better here.

Loudmouth, Porker, and Runt from left to right

Loudmouth

Porker - the skin on his back (when you wash him you can see it) is pink with black/grey speckles.. kinda like a border collie type? the hair on it is white but looks grey splotchy from the skin. It's awesome.

Runt - all he does is sleep LOL

New photos, 6/18/12 - shows both sides/back etc :)
And I am very close to getting to keep Porker - I hope DH caves! LOL

yeah, you can never really tell unless you KNOW what the parents were.

Also, some of these dogs may have different fathers.  A dog releases several different eggs, not just one or possibly two liek we do.  If there were several dogs tracking the mother, she was probably tired by the end of her heat.

Yeah I prefer mixed dogs. We have to find them homes and ppl keep asking how big they will get. I honestly don't know but I'd keep them if I could!!

Quoting Thewife06:

I'm going to lable them as "mutts" and that's not a bad thing.  They're a big mixture of breeds which actually cuts out SO many health problems that they could have to go through.  They're cute though.

1 mom liked this

I wish I could talk DH into letting me keep Porker - he is so calm and mild mannered and affectionate. The baby even smiles and says "poh-kar?" when she sees him LOL

Shepherd as in German Shepherd? Damn, I would Like to see how that happened...a beagle and a German shepherd....wow.

Beagle and shepherd most likely. Maybe some lab. They're kinda small to be able to tell. Super cute tho! Makes me want a puppy real bad!

I couldn't say until they were older.  They are adorable puppies, though.

I work in pit exculsive( staffies, APB, cane corsco, american bulldogs ETC) rescue and they don't look pittie at all too me.....but as others have pointed out they are so young. I wouldn't be surprised to hear terrier and even if you do know the mix its still a crap shoot how big they will get except if they are extremely large or small for their age.  My female is american bulldog and staffie and only weighs 45 pounds.  I really thought I might end up with an 80 pound dog so did the rescue I got her from and the vet.  My male is pure staffie and although he weighs 60 pounds he is no taller thean my female just more muscular so you never really know.  They are cuties though. how much do they weigh now at 4 weeks?
