Video games as therapy?

Dh was diagnosed with Panic Attack disorder in the beginning of May.  He was having attacks daily, sometimes multiple times a day for the entire month.  He was finally put on Celexa for it.

He being the person he is...read all of the literature that came with his prescription.  He's borderline OCD as well.  He grabs onto something and freaks about it.

Well, today, he started playing video games with the boys.  He hasn't played in a long time.  I have noticed he has not had an attack at all....and is in a decent mood.

Coincidence or you think it works?

I think maybe spending time with his kids amd enjoying the simple things in life work more than he videogame itself. Video games are very stress inducing, depending on what youre playong, but even Mario Kart could agitate someone or send them into a panic attack.

I don't know if it's coincidence or not but if you find he's not having attacks I'd be more apt to lean toward it is helping him.
