Here is a little backstory... My brother in law got a girl pregnant and my nephew just turned two in march.. he has since had two other kids and supports none of them. My mother in law gets my nephew quite a bit so that we can see him. His mom lives with her parents as she is a teen mom. (Brother in law should be in jail honestly as he was 23 and she was 16). Anyway... In December my MIL got my nephew and her house is really drafty so she called to ask if he could come over to take a bath. We live next door. He was filthy from his moms house. He also had really long like shoulder length curly hair that she won't cut. Well after his bath I was combing his hair, and I found headlice. Since he was only 1 at the time we couldn't use rid. Nor did we have permission to shave his head. We called BIL to pick him up and take him home bc we didn't want them. They supposedly treated him and the next time I saw him I didn't see any, but we found live lice AND TREATED HIM again in JAN, FEB, MARCH APRIL MAY AND AGAIN LAST NIGHT!!! So apparently his mom does not care nor does she treat him or the house. My husband found them last night and he's infested worse then ever. We treat them using mayo and vinager, and yes it does work bc I thouroughly check him after a day or two that he's here. We have even cut his hair short hoping to keep him from getting more :( so my question is, do you think CPS should be involved? Other than the lice he seems to be taken care of for the most part, and no physical signs of abuse just really dirty looking at all times.
