I was thinking about it tonight, were going to be staying 1-2 nights (depends how far we can get each day, doing an 18 hour trip) in a hotel next week with DS. He goes to sleep on his own but will not sleep if someone is in the room, he will flip out and scream til he gets picked up, he isn't a cuddler at all so I can't rock him or hold him til he falls asleep and we can't cosleep. He's 11 months old... What do we do in the hotel since well be in 1 room??

There is usually an entryway into the bathroom/vanity area. Is it possible to put the playpen in that area and then hang up a sheet to seperate the spaces?

Have you thought about finding hotels that have separate rooms, like Embassy Suites? Or extended stay hotels?

1 mom liked this
I ask for the handicap room and set up the play pen in the bathroom... With the vent on and a fan..and I'd leave the door cracked after she went to sleep.

I guess depending on how its set up we could sit in the hall or if its nice outside (some of the places I've stayed on that highway the room entrances are all outside.) And put the.dogs in the bathroom.. wish we only had 1 car to drive so we wouldn't need to stop overnight)

I don't envy you this trip!

Can you hang a sheet or blanket up somehow to block you out of his view? Not sure how you could do that but its a thought. Sorry I can't help much more.

I've never seen one set up that way.. if we happen to stop at one set up that way its an idea if I remember something to hang it with lol
