Depends really. I can find some good deals on name brand ones for my son but his favorite pair right now are from target.

We buy name brand. When it comes to shoes, you get what you pay for and cheap shoes are crap.

Sperrys are popular here right now, both my daughters have a couple pair but I don't consider them expensive.

My kids mostly wear their Nike sandals in the summer. And my son wears his vans or converse. Their sandals usually cost around $30.

When they were young and first learning how to walk, I bought "good" shoes. Now that they are older and destroy them immediately, I do not spend as much, especially not on summer sandals.

I buy both, I think the most I've ever paid for a pair was $65

 Stride Rite is pretty much the only brand my youngest wears (she has a wide foot like mommy).  Oldest DD has stride Rite, New Balance and then cheap like disney character shoes and such

 No, they arent common in my area. Any child in Sperrys is going to be bullied in the future. lol
