Mash Califlower VS Mash Potatoes

Can you reallt tell a difference?  I heard Califlower is a great substitute for potatoes health wise?  Anyone have good receipe?

I just steam it and them mashed it like potatoes.... the texture is different as well as the taste, and when you reallly look at the nutrition value potatoes are just as good.

I tried it and I hated it the texture is wrong, the smell is not very good and just blech! I will stick with raw cauliflower and good old mashed taters!

My family likes it so much better. Yes it tastes different but it is so much better for you and tastes delicious,especially if you season it right :)

I love them both but don't think one is like the other. They each have their own taste and texture. With the cauliflower, I just mash them, after steaming, add a little season all, some butter and cheese. Awesomeness :)

My family and I love the cauliflower much better than mashed potoatoes. If you put a good amount of garlic, butter and salt in with the cauliflower then it tastes better at least. The texture is different, though you can choose to leave some chunks in there just like you would with potatoes.
